I had salespeople from numerous deck companies paying me visits, showing me product binders, staying for coffee, and doing whatever they could to get my business. They were all nice, friendly people. But their prices shocked me. Tony came out, looked at the project, and gave me a quote. IT WAS ONE-THIRD TO ONE-HALF OF WHAT ALL THE BIG DECK COMPANIES WANTED. I wondered how Tony could do it. But I figured it out. The big deck companies all had sales people, and business owners, and executives in charge, and rent to pay on fancy showrooms. I didn’t want to be paying for all of that.

Tony applied for and obtained a building permit from city hall, and presented the plans, as required, to my neighborhood association. I didn’t have to do anything! Then the Cyrious Building Arts crew went to work. The tear-out seemed huge. I feared the process would take a week or more. The Cyrious crew did it in two days. Then came the deck building. The deck had to be built onto a steep slope, on the edge of woods. A challenging landscape, but no problem for Cyrious! They laid 6 piers at depths DEEPER than code required, to provide extra stability. The Cyrious crews framing of the deck drew praise from the city inspector.

Then came the rainy weather. My neighbor texted me, “Yucky weather. No deck building today!” WRONG! The crew showed up early and worked through mist and wind and clouds, a full day. Another time, a sudden thunderstorm emptied the skies in early afternoon. My neighbor texted, “That’s it for deck building today.” Again, WRONG! The men covered up their equipment, sat in their trucks for more than half-an-hour, and went right back to work the moment the rain stopped.

The crew then added the “wow” effect with high-quality, black aluminum railing that’s look SO CLASSY against the backdrop of the greenery of the woods. The city inspector readily signed off on the finished project, and lavished praise on the Cyrious crew. Rightfully so! I’m delighted to have a tremendously beautiful, strong, sturdy deck that will no doubt bring many, many years of enjoyment to me and my guests. I would certainly recommend Tony Cyr and Cyrious Building Arts to anyone considering a deck.
